One of the eye-catchers at SHOT show this year was the RTS Target Systems displayed by the Mako Group. These brightly colored targets are made of self-healing polymer and come in a variety of sizes, shapes and models; from silhouettes to spinners. They are super lightweight and versatile for both indoor and outdoor shooting. There are additional accessories available to adapt the targets to any scenario you choose: from falling targets which replicate close quarter combat to screaming alarms for every hit made on the target. And since the targets are polymer, they can be shot at point blank range without the risk of ricochet. The RTS Targets are advertised to take up to 2,000 rounds of 9 mm before they need to be replaced.
I can definitely see myself picking up a few of these targets to take to the range, and it will be much easier to set up on my own, as opposed to the incredibly heavy steel targets!
