You know an IWB (Inside the Waist Band) holster is comfortable when you have random "OMG WHERE IS MY GUN?!" moments throughout the day while the gun is on you.

This is how I feel about my Athena IWB holster from Gun Goddess. I've had it for quite awhile (see previous review in Issue #10), and I have recently been carrying my Sig P938 on-body vs. in my handbag, mostly because the weather permits it, as I tend to wear roomier, bulkier clothing in the colder months. I always thought the Athena was comfortable, but over the past few months the leather has really softened up, making it so comfortable it is virtually "un-feelable" when I'm wearing it. The Athena is snug enough that I don't worry it will be jostled out if I run (but, let's face it—if you know me, you know I never run!). It is also very comfortable while I sit at my desk, or get in and out of my car.

An added bonus about the Athena is that it is customizable with a choice of five different leather colors, 26 different thread colors, and three different clip/cant options. The list of gun models it can be made for is extensive. It retails for $68 and is available on gungoddess.com.

Comfortable Protective Eyewear? Thank you Peltor!

I have at least 8 different pair of protective eyewear for shooting; many brands, in different shapes, and various colors. All of them are perfectly comfortable for short 1-2 hour trips to the range. But when it comes to the long haul, like being at an all day training course, the combination of those glasses and ear muffs gets really uncomfortable. It's frustrating, because I HAVE to wear them.

At SHOT Show 2016 Industry Day at the Range I got to try the Peltor Sport SecureFit 400 Glasses and they solve that problem. They have low profile, flexible temples that offer a more comfortable fit with ear protection. They are high-impact resistant, UV protective, come in 3 color options, AND they are inexpensive. These are my new go to! Thank you Peltor!

Chiappa Revolver Rhino 20DS 2"
While at SHOT Show 2016, I came across the Chiappa booth and found the Rhino revolver. I’ve had my eye on this gun ever since it appeared in the re-make of Total Recall in 2012. Visually, this firearm stands out from the rest of the crowd. It has a very modern, almost futuristic, design. The revolver was light, much lighter than it would appear to be, and the grip has a naturally comfortable fit in the hand. The model that I handled had a bright fiber optic front sight for easy target acquisition. I haven’t had an opportunity to shoot it on the range yet, but I bet it’s just as fun to shoot as it looks.

UM Tactical's R.A.G.E. TCS (Rapid Adjustable Gas Expulsion, Total Compensation System) is an adjustable AR-15 compensator system. It comes in a kit ($160)  with 5 port washers (black or stainless), each washer has 3 ports allowing for up to 100 different configurations. This unique system allows shooters to dial in to their specific needs to manage felt recoil and muzzle rise.

And it looks super cool!
