Go Gun Gas Pedal Review

Picture

I received a Go Gun Gas Pedal a couple of years ago as part of prize giveaway from AR15NEWS.com. Relatively new to shooting the AR platform, I wasn't familiar with it, but when I found out it is designed to work with different shooting stances and styles to give you a thumbs-forward grip and help with recoil control, I added it to the rifle I had just finished assembling.

The Gas Pedal mounts to the support hand side of your AR rail, it can go on either side since it's an ambidextrous accessory. The one I received is aluminum (it also comes in a polymer version). At approximately 1" x 1.75", it doesn't take up too much space on the rail, but it does add some bulk to the width.  It works on various rails, though I don't know that shooters with small hands will find it as useful due to the additional width, even when mounting it on a smaller rail.

Out on the range, I shuffled its position quite a bit, and tried a number of different grips and hand positions.  Luckily it was very easy to move, and after I got it in a good spot I knew it was going to be an asset.

Inforce APL Review

Picture
Roll the clocks back to October 2012…. Inforce, a light manufacture, introduced a new pistol light to their line up, the APL (auto pistol light).  With the light having been on the market for almost a year now there isn’t much left to be said about the functionality of the light itself, that hasn’t yet already been said.  The APL offers 200 lumens with an approximate run time of 1.5.  It has bilateral paddle switches which allows you to easily operate the light with either hand.  The light also gives you the option of a constant beam or to apply it momentarily.  It’s easy to mount, no tools are required to do so.

Up until now Inforce only offered the APL in black.  They have recently partnered up with Oklahoma based company  2 Vets Arms Co. to bring you the APL in FDE (flat dark earth).  So lock up the spray paint, there is no need for an arts & craft project to make your weapon light match your pistol.  Kind of like black, FDE looks good with everything! You can purchase the APL in FDE exclusively from 2 Vets at www.2vetsarmsco.com for $129.99.  For more information on the APL please visit Inforce at www.inforce-mil.com.

Ladies Pro Deluxe
Range Bag Review

Picture
As a woman in the shooting community, I've noticed more and more manufacturers are gearing products toward the ladies, from things like pink ear protection to grips and holsters. I bought my fair share of the pink products over the last two years. My newest purchase was a leopard print Ladies Pro Deluxe Range bag that I ordered from www.wellarmedwoman.com

Yes, I said leopard print! As I'm sure many other woman are, I'm a sucker for anything leopard print! I can't help myself. When I came across this range bag, I didn't hesitate to order it and I'm glad I did. It's the perfect bag to take to the range for practice. The heavy duty nylon bag is sturdy enough to carry several firearms, plenty of ammo, plus ear & eye protection. I've also used the range bag for match days and it left me enough space to stock up the snacks, drinks and sunscreen. The range bag came with 3 matching print lockable fabric inserts and a shooting pad with 12 elastic magazine holders. The shoulder strap and handles are strong and feel like they will hold up for many range days to come. I really couldn't be happier with my purchase. I get compliments on it everywhere I go. And don't worry, for those that aren't leopard addicted, it also comes in 9 other colors, including pink and purple ammo and zebra print.

Finding the grip quickly when transitioning to rifle during training has been a big benefit for me. It acts as a guide for my support hand, and I go right to a solid support grip. The product does exactly what it says it's supposed to do. It gives me a stable forward grip that helps control recoil, it assists getting back on target quickly for faster trigger speeds, and it finally gives me a place to put my thumb.
